Photos of "Stucky" our Yorkie with Hubby Patrick and other breeds at Doggy Costume Contest at Fred Miller Park in Morristown, Tennessee.
We went to a Dog Show and Trade Show in Morristown, Tennessee at the Fred Miller Parks and Recreation on Saturday. The show and trade show was to benefit a New Doggy Park that they were raising funds for in Morristown, Tennessee. Our close friend at Alicia's Pet's Pet Supplies was one of the booths. This shop is where I buy all of my natural and holistic foods for my yorkies. We decided to enter "Stucky" one of our pet Yorkies and my husband's trucker dog companion in the "Best Costume" category. This is the first time we have ever participated in a contest and we had lots of fun! My husband, Patrick dressed up like a Cowboy to match "Stucky" and even did the 'show ring' prance...He was having fun and getting carried away with it. My husband Pat is the Groomer for all of our Yorkies and I guess he wants to get into the 'show ring' now! haha! "Stucky" didn't win but had his picture taken for a photographer's future calendar and it was a fun experience none of the less! We look forward to the new doggy park in Morristown in the future so our fur babies can have somewhere to walk and play! Below is some of the pictures of the gorgeous dogs that where entered in contests. The First Place winner was a Pomeranian puppy in a Tuxedo and a black little dog (sorry I don't know her breed) as "Miss Diva" she is the one in the blue jean outfit with pink boa feathers..she placed second.
Wow!How time Fly!It's already Fall and our lil' ones are already 13 weeks old!!They just had their 2nd set of vaccinations today and are doing well. Their ears are just starting to stand up and a couple of them have mastered it and a couple of them have a ear that droops then stands back up. Lil' stucky still likes to stick out his tongue just like when he was a new born. The girls are spit fires!!They are playing up a storm and already show sibling rivalry. They are now ready for adoption and it will be so sad to see them go but we know that they will provide just as much love with their new families as they did with us. We have greatly enjoyed them and they will always be in our hearts.
We are so pleased to announce our first Litter of Four lil' angels from Maizee Grace and Nemo. This is Maizee's first litter. Her labor was long due to it was her first time but thanks to the Lord there were no complications. Maizee was studded with my breeder friend Kristy from "Valleyviews Yorkies" Nemo. He is so gorgeous. He so gorgeous. He was originally from Porterpuppies where I purchase our new addition "Dizzle". Our new little Sire.
Three of our little lady yorkies meet their new families this week!
Three of our sweet baby girls have been adopted this week. Their birth names were "Delilah" , "Dixie' and "Molly". They will sure be missed! We had so much fun with them and each had their own "Special" little personality! "Delilah" known now as "Gracie" is living in Louisiana, She was our little instigator and loved adventuring out, she reminded me of "Dora the Explorer"! She's above holding a toy she found and was parading all over the house teasing her sisters and not letting them have it! Little "Molly" always acted "innocent" when held and has a precious face..but she was a partner in crime with her sisters!(Her picture is on the side). Then there is little "Dixie" , she is sweet and shy! She could melt your heart! (Her picture is below). All have found wonderful families which you can see on the "Adoption" page. They will be missed but we have met wonderful people that we know will love them as much as we did! We hope to provide future pictures of how they are doing with their new families.
Today the baby girls went to see Dr. Hewitt at Ridgefield Animal Hospital in Morristown for their second set of vaccinations and well health check and all of the little ladies are doing well. It was a exciting day for "Dixie", she was adopted today and got to go home with her new family in Morristown, Tennessee. Their family picture is on the adoption page. There are three little girls left and they have already turned nine weeks old. "Delilah" weighs in at 2 lbs, 6 oz's, "Molly", weighed in at 3 lbs, 6 oz's and "Melody" weighed in at 4 lbs. They have one more series of vaccinations left in three weeks and can be adopted anytime and go home with their new families.
Our little girls are eight weeks old as of March 14th, 2008. They had their first set of vaccinations, had preventive de-worming and were examined by our vet two weeks ago. They had a worm test and NO worms! They have a clean bill of health! They are weaned now from their mother and are eating pre-moistened Eukanuba. They have several play times a day and come out from their puppy playpen and play on their doggie couches and rough house with each other. They are so sweet and fun to watch! We are still trying to train their ears to stand up. We don't want to tape them due to preventive injury when they play rough. Don't want to have a puppy tug toy! They have one more set of shots in a week and are due to go to their new homes after March 24th. That is when they get their last examination and next vaccinations. We are taking deposits now! They have been spoiled rotton and hand raised in our home and have been a complete joy!
Just some news and updates about the little litter of babies girls that we have. They are doing very well! They went for the first check up when they were just shy of a week old. That's when they had their tails docked and dew claws removed. I wanted to cry for them. I hate that part. They just opened their eyes this week. The smallest of the girls was the first one! We named her little "Molly". We give all of our baby’s birth names until their adopted families rename them. The others are named, "Gretchen", "Dixie", "Melody" and "Delilah". All have lots of colors all ready showing through except for little "Molly". She will be more like her momma. They have been scooting all over the place and I always have to place them back on their heated bed. We have baby bumper guards around the nursery so their little heads don't go through the holes. It's a metal play pen turned into a nursery. Below is a picture of what our nursery looks like.
Our Nursery ~ Baby Bumper Guards Included!
Hi everyone; My name is Bobbie and my husband Patrick and I are Hidden Haven's Yorkies. It all started when I bought "Skeeter". He is the co-founder of Hidden Haven's Yorkies shall I say. We are avid animal lovers! We have everything from Reptiles, Parrots , Cats and Dogs. I started rescuing animals when I worked at Petsmart years ago and still have some of the old timers here! I never bought a purebred dog before because all of my dogs were shelter rescues. When my daughter grew up and left home, I bought "Skeeter" from a wonderful breeder in California. He replaced all of the "Down in the Dumps" with happiness and joy! They act more like little children then they do dogs to me! I met one of my best friends through "Yorkie Talk" over sharing stories of our Yorkies. She lived in Tennessee and I was moving from California to Tenn. She was a guardian angel through the whole process!I wouldn't know what to do without her! She now owns two beautiful Yorkies and both families spent the holidays together and to think our friendship started over our cherished Yorkies two years ago!
