"Reeses" now "Pippi" will be cherished by her new family
Our little "Reeses" has found such a special family with the Ferguson's!! They have always had Yorkies in their home and are going through some horrible times now due to one of their 15 year females passed onto to 'Rainbow Bridge' and their last 15 year old female Yorkie will be going to meet her 'Sister Yorkie' in 'Rainbow Bridge' (A place where our little loved pets go when they pass away). My heart goes out to them!! "Reeses" will provide them the love and laughter to help them through these grieving times as they miss their older Yorkies!! She will be so spoiled!! Beverly will let us know soon what her "Forever" name will be and I can't wait to see the pictures of her as she grows!! She has the most precious 'baby doll' face and lots of colors going through her coat!! She is going to be a little Diva!! I would like to pass on this poem as a tribute to them to let them know that they are in our hearts and prayers while missing their other Yorkies!! Thank you also for sharing the stories and pictures of your beautiful Yorkies with us!
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

"Minnie" now "Ziva Two Cross " has a loving home with the Cross Family
Helen and Doug named her "Ziva Two" from the NCIS show. the "Two" represents the beloved Yorkie who was known as also "Ziva" which passed away from a horrible illness and left Helen and Doug heartbroken. Even though "Ziva Two" won't take the place of their beloved little yorkie angel..She will provide the Cross's with new loving memories and lots of love. She will also have lots of fun with "Cricket" her new Chihuaha sister and "Gus" her new Yorkie brother.
We miss her already... but are so happy for her that she is adopted by a loving family and can't wait to see her future pictures and hear the mischief she and her siblings get into and the funny stories that Helen tells me about them.
Below is "Helen and Doug Cross" with "Ziva Two" and her Yorkie momma ("Shelby Lynn") and daddy ("Dizzle") who are sitting on Helen's lap. An adorable family picture!
Update: Helen emails me with wonderful updates on how "Ziva Two" is transitioning. She is doing wonderful and knows how to climb into their recliner and sleeps with Helen and Doug. She takes all of her toys and hides them into her bed and likes to keep "Gus" in line. Helen told me of a funny story which I would like to pass on from one of her emails:
"This little girl has already given us a lot of love and kisses and yes Cricket will come around.. last night during the UT ballgame Ziva was on my lap and Cricket beside me then to my amazement, Gus jumped over the arm of the chair and laid on my chest with his head on my shoulder ... Now that is a lot of yorkie on the chest but also a lot of puppy on me with all three of them.... I just wanted you to know the name change.... My daughters said she didn't look like a Cote but had a lot of spunk and curiosity like Ziva on NCIS"
I love hearing the funny stories about Ziva and she seems like she always has been with the Cross family. She loves them to death and they her!! Thanks Helen for the wonderful updates!! Can't wait to see her future pictures and more funny stories on the furbabies!
Congratulations Helen and Doug on your baby girl "Ziva Two Cross"!
